![]() Shirley Dale Ticknor, currently of Waller, Texas, gained her wings and went to be with the Lord on November 22nd, 2021 at the age of 63, surrounded by her much loved family, husband, children, grandchildren, and her best friends. Poppy will forever be in our hearts.Pallbearers are Dustin Abke, Kory Funk, Tyler Funk, Patrick Howland, Brent Perry, Logan Perry, Braden Roehling and Levi Steely. Dad/Reavis/Will/Poppy leaves behind a legacy, showing all of the young men in his life how to laugh and cry without regretting either, to relentlessly pursue your dreams, and to love passionately. He will always hold a special place in his heart for Jack Bennett and some day they will “raise hell” again. There were many friends that came and went, but his best friend from the time he was a young boy remained his best friend for his whole life. Survived by wife Lynda children Rhonda Becvar and husband Keith, Susan Roehling and husband Michael, Gary Abke and wife Melanie, Larry Abke and wife Julie former wife Glenda Winnett and their children Glen Johnson, Steve Johnson and wife Nina, Crystal Funk and husband Karl, Heather Perry and husband Rex Grandchildren Avery Funk, Kory Funk and wife Kaytlin, Tyler Funk and wife Haley, Brent Perry and fiancee Chelsea, Logan Perry, Dancey Johnson, Patrick Howland and wife Sierra, Jade Rainsong, Dustin Abke and wife Cassie, Clayton Abke and wife Brittany, Levi Steely and fiancée Kara, Calley McGinley, Braden Roehling, Brian Becvar, Britni Sandifer and husband Brian, Cheyanne Priddy and husband Thomas, 18 great grandchildren and his faithful chihuahua Millie. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Billie, brothers-in-law Whitey, Al, and Leroy, nephew Dewey and niece Sheri. He was surrounded by family that cried and sang to him until his last breath to “You are my Sunshine” and that good ole’ Aggie War Hymn. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 12, 2021. He continued to exhibit this behavior until his very last breath. He absolutely loved being around all his family and never wanted to leave a good party. He seriously bled Maroon through and through and wore that Aggie ring (Class of 67) until his last days of life when he proudly passed it on to his 1 st Aggie grandson, Brent. Many of the family were blessed to have him photograph special moments in their lives. ![]() Another of his favorite hobbies was taking photos. He loved playing dominoes with his friends and family and he loved to travel. He and wife Lynda made an effort to be at every event they could make. ![]() He was the #1 fan to all 8 of his kids and all his grandchildren. He was selfless and cared more for others than he did himself. Known as Reavis, Will or Poppy, he was the kindest, gentlest man you could ever meet. Reavis graduated from Academy High School in 1957. William Reavis Johnson was born on Septemto William and Gladys Johnson in Temple, Texas. ![]()
